Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of LazyNotch, its macOS app, website, and connected services. LazyNotch is operated by Sanjay Singh, an independent developer based in India. Please read these terms before using the app.
- You control which Mac permissions and connected-app access you grant.
- Review generated content and automated actions before relying on them.
- Paid-plan price, renewal period, and applicable taxes appear at checkout.
- Contact hello@lazynotch.com if something goes wrong.
1. Using LazyNotch
By installing, creating an account for, or using LazyNotch, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally able to enter into this agreement and use LazyNotch in accordance with the laws that apply to you. If you use it for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
LazyNotch helps you write, search, understand information, and work with your Mac and services you connect. Features, supported integrations, and availability can differ by plan, device, region, and permissions.
2. Your account and permissions
Keep your account and device secure, provide accurate account information, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity through your account unless caused by our failure to protect the service.
Mac permissions and connections to third-party services are optional and controlled by you. Grant access only to accounts and content you are authorized to use. You can revoke access through macOS, LazyNotch, or the connected service, though doing so may disable related features. Each connected service has its own terms.
3. License to the app
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use LazyNotch on Macs you control for lawful purposes while you comply with these terms. We retain ownership of LazyNotch, its software, design, and branding. This license does not transfer those rights to you.
Do not sell or redistribute the app, bypass its access controls or usage limits, interfere with its security, or reverse-engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits that activity.
4. Your content and actions
You retain the rights you have in content you provide. You give us the limited permission needed to process that content, operate requested features, and deliver results as described in our Privacy Policy. You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit content and instruct LazyNotch to use it.
LazyNotch can draft text, display suggestions, and, when you enable or approve a feature, interact with your Mac or connected services. Some guided actions can proceed automatically under settings you choose. Check recipients, dates, amounts, selected controls, and other important details before relying on an action. You can stop using an automation or revoke its permissions at any time.
Generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, or similar to content generated for others. It is not professional legal, medical, or financial advice. You are responsible for deciding whether and how to use it.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use LazyNotch to:
- Break the law or violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, or service permissions.
- Access accounts, files, messages, or devices without authorization.
- Send spam, phishing, malware, or deceptive or abusive content.
- Disrupt, probe, or overload LazyNotch or another service, or evade security and plan limits.
- Use automated actions without appropriate supervision where an error could cause significant harm.
6. Plans and payments
LazyNotch may offer a Free plan and paid Pro subscriptions. Current features, usage limits, prices, billing periods, currency, and taxes are shown in the app or at checkout. Paid subscriptions renew for the period selected at checkout until cancelled, unless the checkout states otherwise. We will communicate material changes to a paid plan or renewal price in advance where required by law.
When paid checkout is available, Dodo Payments acts as merchant of record for purchases made through its checkout. Its buyer terms shown there govern the payment transaction alongside these terms, which govern your use of LazyNotch. Paid access begins after payment is confirmed, and may end if a subscription expires, is cancelled, refunded, or cannot be renewed.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You can manage or cancel a subscription using Manage subscription in LazyNotch Settings when that option is available. You can also contact hello@lazynotch.com with the purchase email and order details for help. Cancellation stops future renewals; the effective date and any remaining access follow the terms shown at checkout and applicable law.
To request a refund, contact us with your order details. Refunds are handled under the checkout provider's buyer terms and applicable consumer law. Nothing here limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep LazyNotch available, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Internet access, your Mac, third-party apps, model providers, and their permissions may affect features. We may update or remove features for security, reliability, legal, or product reasons. If a change materially reduces a paid feature during your current billing period, contact us so we can review a suitable remedy.
9. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using LazyNotch at any time. Cancelling a paid plan does not automatically delete your account. Contact us to request account deletion; our Privacy Policy explains data handling and retention. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms, create a security risk, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
10. Warranties and liability
LazyNotch is provided as available. To the extent permitted by law, we do not promise that every output will be accurate or that every integration or feature will always work. We are not responsible for third-party services or actions you take based on unreviewed output.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for claims relating to LazyNotch is limited to the amount you paid for LazyNotch during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including fraud or intentional misconduct, and does not reduce mandatory consumer rights.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. If a dispute arises, contact hello@lazynotch.com first so we can try to resolve it. Where permitted by law, courts in Bengaluru, India have jurisdiction. Any mandatory right to bring a claim elsewhere remains unaffected.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as LazyNotch changes. We will post the updated version and date here, and give notice of material changes through the app, website, or account email where appropriate. Changes do not retroactively alter a completed purchase. If you do not agree to updated terms, stop using the service and cancel any subscription before its next renewal.
